At the Kawaguchiko Monkey Performance Theater at the foot of Mount Fuji, visitors can see the Suou Monkey Show, which, according to one tourist guide, is “a traditional stage performance with 1,000 years’ history.”
The Matsuishi family opened the Sea View Ranch and saloon in 1986 in Hirado’s Ichikawa-cho. The rustic blue house looks like it belongs in Montana despite the beach across the street and the terraced rice fields to the east.
Situated between Seville to the north and Cadiz to the south, Jerez de la Frontera could be dismissed as a mere transit point. But during the off-season, the calm streets and small number of tourists make it a relaxing getaway.
