KAISERSLAUTERN, Germany — DODDS-Europe finalists Ramstein, Wiesbaden, Ansbach and Hohenfels dominate the 2014 All-Europe football teams, announced Thursday by DODDS-Europe athletic director Karen Seadore.

Despite falling short in the Division I championship game, Wiesbaden led all schools with nine selections. The Warrior contingent included quarterback Tim Cuthbert, senior linemen Jack Tone and Hunter Lunasin and senior CJ Pridgen, who was recognized as both a wide receiver and defensive back.

Division I champion Ramstein had eight selections. The Royal haul included all three of its primary running backs in Antonio Ortiz, Ben Ciero and Nile McIntosh and three members of the defense that held Wiesbaden scoreless in the European championship game in defensive back Malik Jackson, linebacker Mason Dean and defensive lineman Donta Morris.

Division II champion Ansbach followed with six selections, including quarterback Bailey Ward and seniors Roger Brownell and Dorian Jones. Though both Brownell and Jones play offense and defense, Brownell was named as a running back and Jones as a defensive lineman. Another two-way Cougar standout, Tyler Benton, was selected as a linebacker and was the only freshman to crack the roster.

Senior running back and recently named 2014 Stars and Stripes football Athlete of the Year David Vidovic is among four representatives from Division II runner-up Hohenfels. Wide receiver Trey Briscoe, lineman Mason Saldana and defensive back Marcus Dudley joined him on the roster.

The All-Europe team skewed heavily toward Germany, with only seven selections from schools outside of that country. Italy saw Vicenza’s Mario Molina and Dillon Williams and Naples’ Zane Zimmerman and Nathan Cairns selected, while the United Kingdom placed Lakenheath’s Colten Menges, Alconbury’s Jacob Williamson and Menwith Hill’s Jonathon Brugman on the squad.
