Bodies beautiful wowed a near-capacity crowd Sunday at Camp Foster Theater in the 16th Far East Bodybuilding and Figure Competition, featuring athletes from Okinawa and Marine Corps Air Station Iwakuni, Japan.Forty-seven competitors, 29 men and 18 women, competed for category and overall honors. Leading the way were women’s overall bodybuilding and 5-foot-4 to 5-foot-6 figure champion Sally Tews and men’s light-heavyweight and overall champion Kenneth Walker. Josaline Brittingham won the women’s overall and 5-6 and taller figure title.Other category winners were:-- Kaoru Adaniya, women’s 5-4 and below figure champion.-- Dana Allison, women’s lightweight bodybuilding (unopposed).-- Mia Glover, women’s heavyweight bodybuilding (unopposed).-- Mitsuhiro Gima, men’s masters.-- Marques Caudle, men’s bantamweight.-- Hitoshi Tome, men’s lightweight.-- Richard J. Markajani, men’s light-middleweight.-- Siah-Ra Ausar, men’s middleweight (unopposed).-- Mark McBride, men’s heavyweight.The event featured a guest poser who has won 14 pro event titles while balancing a career in the military. Philip Ricardo Jr. retired as a Marine Corps master sergeant in March and has been bodybuilding since 1992.
