Nobody's perfect.

The last unbeaten team in DODDS-Europe girls basketball fell Friday night as the Kaiserslautern Raiders edged the visiting defending champion Wiesbaden Warriors 31-29. Wiesbaden recovered the next day on its home court, winning the final game of its 13-1 regular season 45-26.

The Raiders, who beat Wiesbaden for the Division I championship two winters ago, knocked off the Warriors on Friday behind a balanced offensive and defensive effort.

Morgan Dozier led the scoring drive with 12, while Althea Hohan and Sydney Brown added seven apiece. Jada Greene provided the possessions with a nine-rebound, five-steal effort.

A similarly diverse Kaiserslautern effort came up short the next night. Warrior guard Rebecca Russell scored 12 points for the second straight game, Sydney Hill collected 11 points, five steals and four assists and the Wiesbaden defense held the visitors to two first-quarter points in Saturday's successful response.

Despite the loss, Wiesbaden is likely to rank as the top seed in the upcoming Division I European tournament, which the Warriors will host starting Feb. 18.

Ramstein 41, Patch 32: Friday at Ramstein, the Royals outlasted the visiting Panthers.

Patch led by a point through one quarter and trailed by one entering the fourth before the home team asserted itself, ending the two-game losing streak it held as a result of the previous weekend's sweep against Wiesbaden.

Ramstein's Ashley Mateo led all scorers with 15 points while adding six steals. Desiree Palacios joined her teammate in double digits with 13 points. Treshon Jenkins paced the Panthers with 13 points and a game-high 14 rebounds.

Both teams are looking at mid-to-high seeds in the upcoming Division I tournament. They'll each play one more doubleheader first, with Ramstein visiting SHAPE and Patch hosting Vilseck.

Sigonella 29/26, Aviano 27/29: At Sigonella, frontcourt stars Jasmine Cole and Sydney Moore led their teams to a win apiece.

Moore's Jaguar squad took Friday's opener, building a seven-point advantage at halftime and holding on for the win. Moore had five points and 10 rebounds, while Cole paced Aviano with nine points and 12 rebounds.

Cole's Saints fell behind again Saturday but this time consummated the rally. Cole was good for a 13-point, 11-rebound double-double, while Moore offered nine points and 13 rebounds worth of resistance.

Bitburg 32/34, Hohenfels 17/30: At Hohenfels, the visiting Barons needed a Saturday overtime session to complete a sweep of their Division II rival.

Saoirse Matthews turned in a 12-point, 10-rebound double-double on Saturday as Bitburg overcame a two-point third quarter to force overtime and eventually win. Elise Rasmussen added eight points and eight rebounds for the victors.

Friday's win came easier as the consistent Barons scored eight points in each quarter and held Hohenfels to four first-half points. Rasmussen took the lead with 17 points and 11 rebounds.

Shelby Atkinson scored 12 points for Hohenfels on Saturday.

AFNORTH 36/21, SHAPE 22/19: The Division II Lions took both halves of their home-and-home doubleheader with the Division I Spartans.

AFNORTH routed its Benelux neighbor Friday in Netherlands, rushing out to leads of 12-2 through one quarter and 27-4 through two. Eliska Volencova outscored the Spartans herself, exploding for 26 points, including three three-pointers, while tacking on eight rebounds and three steals.

SHAPE deployed its own strong defensive Saturday in holding the Lions to three, six and two points, respectively, in the game's first three quarters. But the Spartans' own offensive struggles and a 10-point AFNORTH fourth-quarter outburst lost them a chance at a split.

Begona Rodriguez scored 13 combined points on the weekend and made nine steals on Saturday.
