AVIANO AIR BASE, Italy -- Tony Saintmelus turned in the most explosive individual performance of the DODDS-Europe football season on Saturday, rushing for a staggering 428 yards and five touchdowns in the Hohenfels Tigers' 54-20 defeat of the host Aviano Saints.

While Saintmelus stole the show, Tiger teammate Jordan Kelly turned in his own prolific rushing stats with 137 yards and two touchdowns.

Falead Leatiota made four tackles and two sacks to pace the Hohenfels defense.

Amir Love scored twice for Aviano, catching a touchdown pass and returning an interception for another six points. Hayden Roers returned a kickoff for the other Saints touchdown.

The win is the second in a row for Hohenfels, which has turned in two straight lopsided wins since opening its season on the wrong side of a Bitburg blowout. The 2-1 Tigers return to Italy to take on Naples next weekend.

The Saints fall below .500 with the setback. They'll take a 1-2 overall record and surviving postseason hopes into next weekend's visit to Vicenza.
