NAVAL STATION ROTA, Spain - You’ll have to zoom way out to find the breakout team in this young DODDS-Europe Division II football season.

The Rota Admirals, DODDS-Europe only Spain-based program and among its most geographically isolated schools, improved to 2-0 on Saturday with their second consecutive blowout win, a 47-8 win over visiting Alconbury.

Jonas Camacho rushed for 197 yards and two touchdowns and spearheaded the Rota defense with a game-high 14 tackles. Estevan Gallardo posted four total touchdowns – two passing, two rushing – along with 147 passing yards. Jake Anderson caught a touchdown ball among his 111 receiving yards and rushed for another score.

The rout comes a week after the Admirals travelled to Germany and opened their season with a 27-0 shutout of Baumholder. Rota opened a 40-8 lead over Alconbury to put their second straight win away early.

Pavel Karamshin caught a 55-yard pass for Alconbury’s lone touchdown. Jacob Williamson made 10 tackles for the Dragons.
