STUTTGART, Germany -- The Stuttgart Panthers continued their resurgence Saturday with a 41-20 win over the visiting Vilseck Falcons.

The Panther offense was prolific, with a variety of stars stepping up across the field for the home team.

Freshman Ben Nix ran for two touchdowns and threw a 53-yard scoring pass to Jamie Ensley. Myles Bryant carried 15 times for 84 yards and a touchdown. Harrison Lane passed a pair of touchdown passes to Sean Loeben. Nick Abel, a recent Ansbach transfer, stockpiled 91 yards on 13 rushing attempts. Kicker Kat Farrar converted five of six extra-point attempts.

It was enough to expand a 20-12 halftime lead over the persistent Falcons, whose developing offense continued to show signs of growth even in defeat.

Quarterback Austin Archangel connected with Armando Pinckney on a 63-yard touchdown pass, while workhorse running back Drew Pinckney amassed 92 yards and a touchdown on 24 rushes.

The game represented a battle between two rising teams hoping to crack the Wiesbaden-Ramstein lock on the Division I title picture. Both schools made dents in that armor last weekend, with Vilseck tying Ramstein and Stuttgart knocking off Wiesbaden. But those games were non-divisional and didn't count towards the playoff race.

Saturday's showdown, however, was a step towards the postseason for Stuttgart. The Panthers are tied with Ramstein and Wiesbaden at 1-0 in divisional play.

Jeremy Nix led the Panthers defensively with 12 tackles, while Abel had eight tackles and Kyle Hartzell added six tackles and two sacks. Aamaree Harrington and Derek Davis each made six tackles for the Falcons.
