The DODDS-Europe Division I champion Stuttgart Panthers placed three players among the 20 named to the 2015 All-Europe volleyball teams, announced Tuesday by DODDS-Europe Athletic Director Karen Seadore.

Libero Janey Greenberg, the recently-named Stars and Stripes girls volleyball Athlete of the Year, was joined by teammate and fellow junior Julia Smith on the first team, while senior Ashley Colon made the second team. The trio led the Panthers to the program’s first European championship this fall.

Stuttgart was the only team to earn three overall choices and the only team to nab more than one spot on the 10-player first team. Six other schools – Bitburg, Naples, Ramstein, Rota, Vicenza and Wiesbaden – secured two overall selections apiece.

Repeat Division II champion Rota placed seniors Janae Curtice and Emily Quan on the first and second team, respectively. Division III champion Sigonella was represented by second-team choice Kisiah Chandler.

The selection committee was comprised of Seadore along with coaches Shawn McCarthy of Sigonella, John Kohut of Vicenza, Mike Rubino of Stuttgart, Eric Vining of Bitburg and Chris Bradford of Hohenfels.
