AVIANO AIR BASE, Italy – Mario Molina threw for four touchdowns and ran for another as the Vicenza Cougars opened the Division II season Saturday night with a 35-0 victory over the Aviano Saints.

Molina gave the Cougars an early lead with a quarterback sneak, then connected with Peter Toves and Adrian Guerrero or a pair of touchdowns each as the Cougars gradually pulled away.

Aviano’s Jamal Thomas rushed for 76 yards. The Cougars did not keep stats.

Vicenza hosts the International School of Brussels on Friday. Aviano (1-1) travels to Hohenfels to play Saturday.
