According to head coach Pete Resnick, enrollment at Menwith Hill has declined to 66 high school students – Ankara and Incirlik levels, he said.
Luckily for the Mustangs, 17 of those 66 are out for football, and among them are athletes such as All-Star quarterback Schuyler Backlar, senior running back-defensive end Ben Milam and his class- and stablemate Damon Morris, along with their fellow seniors Alex Abing, Christian Burdick, Jordan Crouse and Josh Wilcox.
Menwith Hill, which plays at Rota, but hosts Baumholder, also hopes for production from Adrian Knight, in his first season of football, and Stateside import Stephen Wetmore, a wide receiver.
