RAF LAKENHEATH, England – The Kaiserslautern Raiders claimed the fourth and final spot in the DODDS-Europe Division I football semifinals Saturday with a 40-6 trouncing of the host Lakenheath Lancers.

Kaiserslautern finishes its season at 2-3 and will travel to defending champion Wiesbaden for a semifinal next weekend.

Quarterback Bridger Hawkins threw for 137 yards and three touchdowns to lead the Raiders. Antwan Haynes caught two touchdowns and Kilian Knight the third for the Raiders. David Zaryczny piled up 72 yards rushing with a score. Kicker Ryan Rimmler rounded out the Kaiserslautern scoring with a 38-yard field goal.

Bradly Lemon paced the Kaiserslautern defense with nine tackles.

Zack Adamson scored the Lancers’ lone touchdown on an 87-yard run. Colten Menges made nine tackles and an interception for Lakenheath.

The loss sent the Lancers to their second straight winless season. Kaiserslautern, itself recovering from a recent multi-year multi-season winless streak, will advance to its second straight postseason.
