Cordova lights up scoreboard for AFNORTH

BRUNSSUM, Netherlands - Daniel Cordova completed 36-of-49 passes for 493 yards and four touchdowns Saturday to lead the AFNORTH Lions to a 39-22 victory over their Belgian-league guests, the Brussels Bulls.

“…Cordova found his rhythm passing in the spread offense and the AFNORTH receivers exploded in yards after the catch,” Lions coach Greg Blankenship wrote in an email report of the game. “Ryan Patten, Cullen Ennis, Isaiah Grabowski, and Logan Harless controlled the line of scrimmage and kept Daniel comfortable in the pocket throughout the second half…”

Victor Black caught 13 passes, good for 188 yards and two TDs, Blankenship reported. Oguzhan Yabici snared 12 for 173 yards and two TDs.

Next up for AFNORTH (1-1) is a Friday-night, non-conference game at Hohenfels.
