BAUMHOLDER, Germany – Tim Wilkinson threw for three touchdown passes and ran for another Friday as the team made up of AFNORTH and Brussels players won its first game of the season, 30-21, over the homestanding Bucs.

Baumholder, which has lost its last 10 games, led 21-14 heading into the final quarter. But Wilkinson found Timothy DeFazio for a 24-yard touchdown and then connected with him again on a two-point conversion to put the Benelux team up 22-21 with 9 minutes and 10 seconds left.

Wilkinson added insurance with a 3-yard run with 3:11 to play in the game and then added a two-point conversion for the final margin.

He was credited with 187 yards passing and 37 yards rushing. Jesus Serabia led the team with 43 yards on the ground and DeFazio grabbed eight passes for 104 yards.

Bucs QB Trey Kendrick, whose short second- and third-quarter runs had given Baumholder the lead, had 111 yards on 16 carries. Running back Solo Turgeon topped that with 150 yards and a score on 18 carries.

Anthony Amos had 10 tackles for Baumholder, while Kwan McNeil (nine) and Yorel Smalls (eight) followed close behind. AFNORTH hosts defending champion Ansbach next weekend, while Baumholder hosts Alconbury – the last team it defeated on Sept. 28, 2013.
