ANSBACH, Germany - The Ansbach Cougars remain unbeaten and unchallenged in the young DODDS-Europe Division II football season, posting a second straight overwhelming win with a 48-7 rout of visiting Naples.

The Cougars scored just more than a minute into the game as part of a 26-0 first-quarter outburst. Their lead grew to 40-0 by halftime, and they coasted to a 2-0 record from there.

Roger Brownell rushed 16 times for 162 yards and two touchdowns and caught a 25-yard touchdown for Ansbach, while Bailey Ward also ran in for a pair of scores. Brandon Piccinini caught two passes for 28 yards and a touchdown.

Nick Abel paced the Cougar defense with five tackles and two fumble recoveries. Hiromi Iglesias notched a safety for Ansbach.

Chris Green caught a 65-yard touchdown with a minute to play in the game as the Wildcats avoided the shutout. Ty'Rick Riggins led Naples with 65 rushing yards.

Ansbach has outscored its opponents by an 88-14 margin so far this year, including last week's 40-7 win over AFNORTH.
