Alconbury Dragons

Head coach: Duke Eidt
Last year: 2-4, lost 44-0 to Rota in D-III semifinals
Key games: Sept. 8 vs. Baumholder, Sept. 14 at Rota
Size is a problem for the Dragons, reports head coach Duke Eidt, who’ll try to counter with speed and returning quarterback Kevin Beasley, running back Brendan Johnson, both seniors, and sophomore receiver Solomon Dana.
In the wide-open spaces of the nine-man D-III game, speed’s a nice thing to have, and the Dragons are apt to find out whether they have enough when former D-II program Baumholder comes to town on opening day.
