From rainy Yongsan Garrison to sunny Citizens Park, Seoul American and Nile C. Kinnick runners shined in their respective league cross-country finals Saturday.

Ryan Parker won the boys race and Sally Lee and Nialah Blount went 1-2 in the girls race and the host Falcons won both the boys and girls team titles in Saturday’s Korean-American Interscholastic Activities Conference finals on Yongsan’s 3.1-mile mostly road course.

Robert Beard stayed unbeaten, while Carydaliz Fontanez made amends for her third-place finish in the Kanto Plain finals, each capturing their respective races for Nile C. Kinnick in the DODDS Japan finals over Misawa’s Citizens Park combined sidewalk, hill and dirt course.

Kinnick won the girls team title as Elisha Dareing, Kate Greathouse, Cassandra Burger and Mia Floyd also placed in the top 10. Yokota’s boys prevented a Red Devil sweep, winning the boys team title as James kennedy, Bryan Riley and Dan Galvin each placed in the top 10.

On the tennis courts, Matthew C. Perry’s boys capped a banner weekend, as brothers Sam and Jon Cadavos and doubles pair Gaku Lange and Sam Hess beat Yokota 3-0 for the DODDS Japan boys title.

The girls final was much closer, but Yokota’s singles seeds Emily Beemsterboer and Anju Yamanaka won their respective ties as the Panthers edged Zama American 2-1 at Yokosuka Naval Base’s Chapel hardcourts.

Kinnick repeated its DODDS Japan girls volleyball title, winning the championship match in straight sets over Perry 25-15, 25-4, 25-14.
