Matt Millham
Matt Millham was an enlisted Army print journalist from 2002 to 2010. From 2006 to 2009 he served as a general assignment reporter for Stars and Stripes reporting from Iraq, France, the Netherlands and around Germany. He deployed to Afghanistan in 2009, serving at ISAF headquarters in Kabul as a public affairs planner and new media noncommissioned officer. Prior to his service with Stars and Stripes he spent nearly four years in a public affairs detachment. In that assignment he spent a year in Kuwait as editor of the Army’s “Desert Voice” magazine and a short stint as editor of Fort Carson’s “Mountaineer” newspaper.
Millham, from New Paltz, NY, holds a bachelor’s in geology from Binghamton University and a master’s in journalism from Syracuse University.
