Ike and Tina Turner

Frankfurt, Germany, February 1, 1971: Ike and Tina Turner, onstage at Frankfurt's Jahrhunderthalle during a 1971 European tour that also included shows in Stuttgart and Munich. That year, they released perhaps their best-known song, a remake of Creedence's Proud Mary, but by 1976 their marriage had fallen apart amid some nasty allegations about Ike's behavior. Their place in the music world was secure, though, and in 1991 they were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
