Frankfurt, Germany, April 16, 1969: Former heavyweight boxing champion Rocky Marciano "strikes" a pose during an interview. Marciano, who retired in 1956 after winning all 49 of his fights (all but six by knockouts), was starting an 11-day tour of GI clubs in Germany. "We try to make it informal," he said. "We show films of some of my fights, and I talk to the fellows about how boxing was in the early 50s and how it is today. Sort of an audience-participation, chit-chat, fun thing."
