Ex-POWs head home

Clark AB, Philippines, February 20, 1973: Air Force Capt. Kevin J. McManus shakes hands with well-wishers as he prepares to leave the Philippines for home. McManus had been imprisoned in North Vietnam since his F4C Phantom jet was shot down in June, 1967; he was joined by 19 other ex-POWs on the trip out of captivity. A much larger group of released POWs passed through Clark a few days earlier.
