Dan Evans ©Stars and Stripes

South Vietnam, November 1, 1970: South Vietnamese villagers wade through flood waters on Highway One, south of Da Nang. An estimated 205,000 people were driven from their homes by water that peaked at between nine and 12 feet above normal levels; officials said 159 Vietnamese, 11 Koreans and six Americans had been killed in the flooding.
