Bien Hoa, South Vietnam, April, 1968: A young Viet Cong prisoner of war sits on a bunk in the women's barracks at the Bien Hoa POW camp. Of the approximately 1,000 prisoners at the 55-building complex in early April, 1968, 85 were female and about a third of the population — which ranged from a 13-year-old boy to an 82-year-old female Viet Cong liaison officer — was younger than 18.
