No national anthem police
Stars and Stripes
March 3, 2010
Regarding the Feb. 16 letter “We don’t need all that jazz”: Jazzed, rapped, country, rock ‘n’ roll; sung by angels, sung by longshoremen; spoofed, honored; at Fenway Park, at Arlington National Cemetery. Isn’t that what it is all about, that there is no governmental anthem police that says what is right and what is wrong?
Fire up those “listening ears” and hear what part of America is singing today.
