Winning military couple can say ‘I do’ to ‘Marry Me’

"Marry Me,” from the three-time Grammy-award winning band Train, has been inspiring marriage proposals and first dances at weddings since it came out in October 2009, writes the Chicago Sun-Times.

Singer and songwriter Patrick Monahan has been so touched by that response that the band launched a competition for military couples separated by deployment. Their plan: to choose one couple whose proposal will be broadcast live via satellite during the performance of “Marry Me” at a Train concert this summer.

The band is keeping the finalists’ identity secret for now, but the Sun-Times provides  snippets from three of the letters.
