Wheelchair basketball tournament at Sembach Kaserne

SEMBACH, Germany — Eight teams wheeled and dribbled their way up and down the court Friday at Sembach Kaserne as they competed in a wheelchair basketball tournament.

The tournament was held by the Warrior Transition Battalion based out of Kleber Kaserne to promote its adaptive sports program.

One Air Force, one Marine and six Army teams competed in the event.

The Air Force team, comprised of members from the 86th Communications Squadron, warmed up to edge out the Army’s Warrior Transition Battalion, A company team, for the championship.
