Video: US soldier survives firefight with Taliban

A harrowing video posted to YouTube on Wednesday shows a US soldier caught in a machine gun firefight with the Taliban in Afghanistan running out into the open to draw fire away from his squad.
The soldier was hit four times, but no rounds penetrated his body armor and he returned home with no permanent injuries, according to the video description posted to YouTube channel Funker530.
The video is part of an ongoing effort to document the war in Afghanistan through raw video footage.
