US Rep. Scott Perry nominated to be brigadier general
Gov. Tom Corbett has nominated U.S. Rep. Scott Perry, R-York County, to be a brigadier general in the Pennsylvania Army National Guard.
Perry enlisted in the Pennsylvania Army National Guard in 1980, according to the biography on his congressional website. He was promoted to colonel in 2011.
He continued to serve after being elected to Congress in 2012. The nomination has to be confirmed by the state Senate.
