Fort Bragg soldier's death under investigation

A Fort Bragg soldier was found dead on post Sunday, according to a release from military authorities this morning.
Pvt. 1st Class Darrell Robinson, 23, of San Angelo, Texas, died of unknown causes, the release said. He was a military police officer in the 550th Military Working Dog, 42nd Military Police Detachment, 503rd Military Police Battalion, 16th Military Police Brigade.
Robinson joined the Army in May 2013 and completed one station unit training at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri, the release said.
Robinson was assigned to the 16th Military Police Brigade in April.
His awards and decorations include the National Defense Service Medal and the Army Service Ribbon.
"We are deeply saddened by this sudden and unexpected loss of our soldier," said Lt. Col. Caroline K.M. Horton, Robinson's battalion commander, in a statement. "We extend our deepest condolences to the friends and family of Pvt. 1st Class Robinson."
The Army Criminal Investigation Command is investigating.
