Among all the tourists, dignitaries and veterans who attended the many commemoration ceremonies marking the 70th anniversary of D-Day were re-enactors.

Dressed in World War II-era uniforms or clothing from the period, re-enactors mingled in the crowds, drove period jeeps through the streets and paid tribute to the veterans who stormed the beaches at Normandy all those years ago.
