Photos, video: MLK holiday celebrated with march, music in Wiesbaden

Marchers walk along the streets of Clay Kaserne in Wiesbaden, Germany, Thursday, marking the Martin Luther King Jr. Day holiday. About 100 people took part in the march, while about 100 more attended the following ceremony. Monday will mark the 28th time the holiday will be observed.

WIESBADEN, Germany — Nearly 100 marchers walked along the streets of Clay Kaserne in Wiesbaden, Germany, on Thursday to mark the Martin Luther King Jr. Day holiday.

About 100 more attended the following ceremony, which featured music and a recitation of King’s “I had a Dream” speech. Guest speaker was U.S. Army Europe’s Headquarters and Headquarters Battalion Command Sgt. Maj. Sean Rice. Monday will mark the 28th time the holiday will be observed.
