Florida Navy base wins installation award

NAVAL SUPPORT ACTIVITY PANAMA CITY -- Naval Support Activity Panama City on Thursday received the 2013 Commander, Navy Installation Command (CNIC) Installation Excellence Award, according to U.S. Rep. Steve Southerland.
NSA PC also was named the Navy’s nominee for the Office of the Secretary of Defense Commander in Chief's Annual Award for Installation Excellence.
“The Installation Excellence Award reflects the critically important role that Naval Support Activity Panama City has played in strengthening our North and Northwest Florida military community,” Southerland said. “NSA PC is a sterling example of innovation, cutting edge research and development, and superior training services for local service members and their families.”
CNIC is comprised of 11 regions and 72 bases worldwide.
