COLOGNE, Germany — Photokina in Cologne is billed as the largest imaging trade fair in the world.

By the time the biennial show ends on Sunday, more than 150,000 visitors will descend on the fairgrounds along the Rhine River to check out what is new in the world of photography.

Digital and analog cameras, lenses, photo printers, camera bags and lighting equipment are only some of the items on display by 1,251 exhibitors from 45 countries. If it has something to do with making images, it can probably be found at Photokina.

In addition to equipment, many photo galleries are displayed throughout the seven exhibition halls used for the fair.

Photokina is open through Sunday, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Admission is 45 euros, but on Saturday and Sunday family tickets are available for 47 euros for two adults and two children ages 7 to 17.

The next Photokina is Sept. 16-21, 2014.
