U.S. military has new threat: health care costs

Already soaring health care and pension costs will keep growing, much to the detriment of the U.S. military, NPR reports.

Gates has proposed raising Tricare fees, particularly for working-age retirees, and is considering replacing the all-or-nothing, 20-year retirement plan with a more “flexible” system.
