Why does the school like military students?
Liberty University has always acknowledged and valued the service of our U.S. Armed Forces. We devote many of our resources and efforts for our military students as a way of giving back for all the sacrifices they have made for our country.

What GI Bill/Tuition Assistance benefits are offered/available?
Liberty University has been authorized to process Military Tuition Assistance and the GI Bill, and provides a Military Affairs Office to offer benefit counseling for our students.

Do you offer online degrees/distance learning programs?
Liberty University offers over 40 online degree programs at the undergraduate and graduate levels.

What programs/services are available specifically to military students?
Liberty University offers tuition discounts to bring tuition down to $250 per credit hour, fee waivers, and free book vouchers for undergraduate students. LU has also partnered with SOC, GoArmyEd, the Navy College Program, and the Veterans Affairs Administration to provide the Yellow Ribbon Program.

What is your policy on involuntary activation for military service?
Liberty University will work with all service members whose education schedule may be disrupted as a result of their service. Students are encouraged to first reach out to their professor to request additional time. If the course will not allow for additional time to be granted, or if the orders require a long absence, students may request a military withdrawal. Approved military withdrawals will result in no financial penalty for the student.
