Every October, Stars and Stripes publishes the Combined Federal Campaign (CFC) Guide — a special supplement that helps military, government and DoD personnel choose the charitable organizations they wish to support in the new fiscal year. The guide contains a plethora of information regarding the CFC including new initiatives, success stories, advice on charitable giving and more.
The CFC Guide is distributed through Stars and Stripes' daily editions overseas as well as throughout the National Capital Region. The CFC Guide is also circulated in base newspapers and at shopping outlets in most major military installations nationwide.

The DAV Charitable Service Trust helps fulfill a focused and noble purpose: empowering
veterans to lead high-quality lives with respect and dignity. It supports programs and
initiatives that improve the quality of life for veterans, their caregivers and
families. Programs supported by the Trust help connect veterans with recreational
therapy, rehabilitation, food & shelter, healthcare, benefits counseling and education,
training & career readiness. In 2024, more than 95 cents out of every dollar went
directly to support programs that help veterans, their caregivers and families. Learn
