Servicemember readering

Stars and Stripes publishes a daily Middle East edition and distributes it to U.S. forces and civilian workers in Afghanistan, Djibouti, Bahrain, Kuwait, Kyrgyzstan, Iraq and Qatar. The importance of providing an American-style newspaper can best be summarized by our readers:

“We appreciate you being there and sharing the stories and times of our service members. I am sure many other families… also appreciate your articles and excellent writing.”

“The goal of my letter is… to inform you about the huge impact your publication has, not only on the American troops, but also on the many… workers that support our mission. They read assiduously and have a long memory.”

PTSD cover We maintain a link to America for our downrange military that is critical to morale—and they read us with great attention. The Middle East edition has no competition when it comes to reaching servicemembers and civilian contractors downrange. The vast majority of our deployed readers come home with money to spend and a desire to make up for the time they lost and the privations they endured.

Humvee Stars and Stripes offers unique opportunities for custom advertising programs, including sponsorships, contests and events that will let our military men and women know they are valued and appreciated.

Daily distribution currently averages between 65,000 and 72,000 copies, with pass-along readership estimated at 4 to 7 readers per copy.
