Michael Abrams ©Stars and Stripes
Ramstein Air Base, Germany, March, 1997: A giant penguin (played by 12-year-old Adam Uddin) gets the cold shoulder from four-year-old Robert Horsley at the Ramstein commissary. Even Robert's mom, Shandra, was unable to convince him to get into the spirit of National Frozen Foods Month, which the commissary kicked off with a cake-cutting and performances by the Ramstein school choir and the JROTC Training Corps' honor guard and drill team.
