Ken Griffey, Jr., on the bases in Japan, 1992

Lem Robson/Stars and Stripes
Tokyo, November, 1992: A pickoff throw skips past Kintetsu Buffaloes first baseman Hiroo Ishii, allowing Ken Griffey, Jr., of the Seattle Mariners to advance to third during an exhibition game at the Tokyo Dome. At age 22, Griffey was already a three-time all-star; by the time of his retirement on June 2, 2010, he had hit 630 career home runs.
