Tokyo, October, 1956: Brooklyn Dodgers pitcher Carl Erskine deftly handles chopsticks as he samples shrimp tempura at Tokyo's Chinzansa Restaurant. The photo caption noted that "Mrs. Erskine ... looks a little dubious about the outcome." Erskine, who had pitched a no-hitter against the archrival Giants during the 1956 season, was in Japan with his teammates for a series of exhibition games.
