Staff sergeant who died in Afghanistan honored at Mannheim Memorial Day ceremony

Judith Craig watches as Col. Joseph Brendler presents Jonas Craig, 7, with the Distinguished Flying cross his father, Staff Sgt. Heathe Craig, was posthumously awarded for his actions in Afghanistan. Craig was killed rescuing an injured soldier during a MEDEVAC mission on June 21, 2006. The presentation was made during the United States Army Garrison Mannheim's Memorial Day ceremony. Brendler is the commander of the 2nd Signal Brigade.
