DECA to hold worldwide
case-lot sale this weekend
Stars and Stripes
Mountains of products are expected to fly off the shelves at commissaries around the
world this weekend. The Defense Commissary Agency (DECA) has designated Friday, Saturday
and Sunday, September 8-10, as the worlds biggest case-lot sale for 264 of its 284
commissary stores worldwide.
Shoppers can expect savings of up to 50 percent on 60,000 cases of 57 different
products, such as cereals, juices, soups, paper towels, toilet tissue and garbage bags.
Participating commissaries have a list of about 300 items from which they have chosen
products that fit their customer base. There are no limits on the number of items that
customers can buy. But its first come, first served.
This is DECAs first attempt at holding a worldwide caselot sale on the same
weekend. Sales will be held Friday and Saturday in: Alconbury, Bad Aibling, Bad Nauheim,
Croughton, Dexheim, Fairford, Illesheim, Lajes Field, Livorno and Menwith Hill.
Saturday and Sunday sales will be held at: Ankara, Ansbach, Aviano, Bamberg,
Baumholder, Bitburg, Cairo, Chievres, Darmstadt, Giessen, Hanau, Heidelberg, Hohenfels,
Incirlik, Izmir, Lakenheath, Mannheim, Naples, Patch Barracks, Ramstein, Rhein-Main, Rota,
Sembach, Schinnen, Schweinfurt, Sigonella, Vicenza, Vilseck, Vogelweh, Wiesbaden and
Würzburg.
